Android Users Can Now Download Google Maps 7.3 With Cool New Features

Only a month on from the last version, Google has released the next iteration of Google Maps for Android, and a few very interesting features have been noticed, which make this a very worthwhile upgrade.
For starters, the notification area has been expanded to include much more relevant useful information. This includes the duration of the journey, the distance to your destination, and your estimated arrival time.

Navigation cards are also shorter and less bloated. You still have the same data but it has been redesigned in a way to make it look slimmer and less cluttered, fitting more on the screen. Check it out.
One welcome change is that the app will ask you to confirm whether or not you want to discard the draft of a review, if you are leaving or editing that review. This will stop accidental deletions, which is fantastic if you often hit the wrong keys and wipe out everything that you have spent time laboriously writing.
Aside from all this, there are also the usual bug fixes and under-the-hood tweaks, including icon caching and URL adjusting.
Upgrade your Google Maps today and let us know in the comments what you think of the new changes.
